HALL COMSmTEE, A Meeting pf tiia Hall Commute* wa s held on Monday night tho following being present;—Messrs; Pplmer } Larsen, Swenson, Miller, and ,T. -Row--1 land, secretary. In ;rtho absence of ! Mr. Blreh, Mr Palmer was elected chairman. * The secretary reported having made 1 satisfactory financial arrangements [ with the Bank of New Zealand which | would enable the Committee to meet r all outstanding accounts immediately* ' It was decided to hold the annual j general meeting on Tuesday evening , next for the purpose of electing the ’ committee for tho ensuing year. The ’ chairman expressed the hope that the , residents would attend the meeting in , large numbers and take a little, more [ interest In the management of Hall , affairs. i Methodist Church. ; The Methodist Church celebrated ita anniversary on Sunday last. Tho church was beautifully decorated for | the occasion by the lady members of ' the church. The Rev,'. H. Peat preached at the afternoon service and JMr Hall in the evening Both aer5 vices were largely attended. P The Methodist Guild held Its usual t monthly meeting on Tuesday .In the i church, about twenty ladles being present. General satisfaction was expressed at the great success, of the recent bazaar and concert 3}eld in the hall. Tho financial result of the ' 3 concert and bazaar.
