MAKING
The anniversaary of tho Makino Methodist Church was held last Sunday, when Mr. T. Flower preached is the afternoon and the Rev. A. Mitchell n the evening. On Monday evening a Harvest Festival concert was held in the State School, when there was a record attendance. A splendid musical programme was submitted, which was greatly appreciated, each; performer being encored. The following ladies and gentlemen assisted; —- Mrs Crump, Misses Younger (2), B. Dewe and Mr AH. Kingston and the Rev. A. Mitchell. Mr Hart read an encouraging report which showed a credit balance in spite, of, the expense of painting the church etc. 'After a bountiful supper, Mr. P. Stevens auctioned the produce In best style, and was thanked by the chairman. Mr P. S. Guy proposed a hearty vote of thanks to all who had assisted. This carried by acclamation.
