SOME USES FOR VINEGAR
To set a poached egg firmly, add a few drops of vinegar while cooking. To-make rice grains separate when cooking for a vegetable, add a few drops of vinegar. One part of vinegar to two parts water in a shallow bowl, placed near the entry, will keep the larder free 'tom flies.
