STOCK SALES
Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having a very ' fair entry of sheep, cattle and pigs at their Bulls sale on Monday, 21st Inst. Sheep and cattle sold fairly well, but there was a sharp decline in pigs, especially- the smaller sorts. Quotations: —B.f. woolly lambs, 18s sd; shorn b.f. lambs, 16s Id; light fat lambs. 19s; small lambs, 8s; cull ewe's, 5s Bd, 6s to 7s 2d; aged Southdown rams, 12 gns.; 2-th. Southdown rams, 7*gns.; light, fat bullocks, £8 7s; fat heifers, £5 12s 6d; fat cows, £5 Is; 2-yr. steers, £3 12s ,6d; bulls, £2 10s to £3 10s: weaner pigs, 7s, 8s to 8s 6d; slips, 20s, 25s to-275; forward stores, 30s, 38s 6d, £2, £2 Is 6d to £2 2s.
