The positions of the Queens in the election compaign remain the same as last night. ' ‘ ■ To-night in Zfealandia Hall, the Citizen's Queen Committee will hold a 'sixpenny dance.' This proved a' most popular fortn of entertainment last week when the Retailers had a sixpenny dance after their concert. A euchre and ten-minute billiard night will be held at the Fire Brigade Hall to-night in aid of the Boy Scouts' Queen. The firemen do it well when they start. Goqd prizes are promised. To-night the Scotties will ho at. Nbwbury Hall with, the pipers to assist, the musicians at the dance. On Thursday, they, will be at Aokauter# and on Friday at Bainesse. To-night . the Scouts organisation will Journey to Kairanga to put on a concert and, dance. The conveyance leaves at 7.15. , At Zealandia Hall on Thursday the Soldiers’ Queen Committee are putting on an old-time apd modern dance In aid of funds for the Territorial Sports Fund. , On Thursday afternoon a Jumble gale will be hold at Zealandia Hall when paper flowers made by the ladies’ committee of the Citizens Queen will be sold with the gifts sent in by supporters. ... . . The Scouts are alive to the possibilities; on Thursday night they wll, hold a’ dance In the Square and If wet at the Flro Brigade Station, On Friday night one of the best events In connection with the Queen election will take place in Zealandia Hall’with a children and adults' fancy dress ball. The prices to be charged are kept very low to enable those whp have to get new costumes a chance to spend more. As fancy costumes will be needed on two big occasions next week, this should.be a good try-out for the prize money. On Friday the Scouts will hold a gift night at their rooms In, King etreet. They will give a Scout display. The Scottish Society are holding an inglesido in the Empire Hall on Friday in aid of funds for the Queen o. Scots.
