XjOWKR THAN WELLINGTON. AUCKLAND, Dec. 18. An advance of one penny per pound in the price of butter on the local market takes place to-day. The Auckland prices will accordingly bo la 4ld for superfine brands, ls4d for first grades, and Is 3d for second qualities. A similar advance in Wellington brings theh price of superfine to Is 6d on that market. London parity at 176 s per cwt. Is equal to Is 4.01 d per lb, f.0.b., so that after allowing for distribution costs, tlie Wellington price is appriximately equal to the London value, while Auckland’s is about lid per lb lower.
