Dr. H. Will secured an order against A. Doyle, for the payment forthwith of £2 Ss. in default 3 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays 2s 6d a week.

Austral Agency Company (Mr. L. Martyn Abraham) secured an order against J. D. Telford for the payment forthwith of £l6 3s, in default 14 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended as long as defendant pays £1 a month.

H. Avery was ordered to pay E. I* Barnes the sum of £lO 3s forthwith, in default 7 days' imprisonment.

H. O. Oliver was ordered to pay W. H. Simms and Son, Ltd., the sum of £8 3s 8d forthwith, in default 7 days’ imprisonment.

McCormack and Taylor secured an order against H. Lee, for the sum of £9 19s Sd ,in default 7 days’ imprisonment.

K. A. Humphreys was ordered to pay B. G. Salmons (Mr. Laurenson) the sum of £l4 17s forthwith, in default 14 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays £1 a month.

P. O. Johanson was ordered to pay Ivan Wilson the sum of £3O Is fc/thwith, in default 2S days’ imprisonment.

W. A. Kyle (Mr. Petersen) secured an order against J. T. Taylor for the sum of £4 7s, to be paid forthwith, in default 7 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays 10s a month. G. A. Luoni (Mr. Ongley) secured an order against Eric Pearson, to pay forthwith the sum of £7 6s Gd, in default 7 days.

H. Fowler was ordered to pay H. Dtvehall (Mr. Grant) the amount of £2 7s 7d forthwith, in default 4 days' imprisonment.

Woods Motors, Ltd. (Mr. Grant) secured an order against W. H. Righstead for the amount forthwith of fS 19s Id in default 7 days, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays £1 a month.

J. Buick (Mr. Merton) was ordered to pay forthwith to W. H, Cowburn (Mr. Cooper) the amount of £4 Is Gd in default 7 days’ imprisonment. Rent in Lieu of Notice,

William Ritchie (Mr. Merton) sued Fred Clarke (Mr. Oram) for one month’s rent, in lieu of the notice allegedly agreed upon in 1925, and the sum ; of 10s, .alleged to have been spent on repair work on the drains in the house which defendant was occupying. < Following the hearing of brief evidence, the Magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff for one week’s rent and the 10s spent on the drains, with costs amounting to £1 IGs Cd.
