Desmond Palmer failed to appear in answer to a charge of failing to attend drill. ‘‘This man has given us considerable trouble,” stated Sergt.-Major Harvey in evidence. Palmer was fined £2 and costs 9s.

O’Grady. His Worship inflicted a fine of 40s and costs 9s on the indecent lan< guage charge, while he convicted and discharged accused on the other. "Will your Worship make an order for the suppression of accused’s name?” asked Mr Ongley. “I don’t think there is any necessity if the case is correctly reported,” replied Mr Stout.
