CYCMiI ROAD RACE, (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Foxton Amateur Cycle road races held last evening resulted as follows: — Five miles—G. Aldridge (65 secs) 1, D. Knott (Ssecs) 2, G. Coley (55 secs) 3, C. Newson (85 secs) 4. Won by a length, the same distance separating third and fourth men. Three miles—C. Newson (50 secs) I, D. Knott (2 secs) 2, G. Aldridge (30 secs) 3, P. Honour 30 secs) 4. Won by 50 yards ,a length between second and third. A tricycle race for kiddies held between the above two‘-■■events created great interest. Freddy McPherson won the race, with Bruce Smith second and Ronald Yeo third. Croquet. The Wednesday competitions resulted: Mesdames Perreau break 3, cut off 4; Woods break 2, cut off 2; Owen break 4, cut off 6; McMurray break 3, cut off 3; Pearson break 3 r cut off 4; Moore break 12, cut oft 4; Parkes break 3, cut off 2; Ball break 1, cut off 2; Barr break 3, cut off 4; Bryant break 7, cut off 2; Downes break 3, cut off 7; Wanklyn break 1, cut off 3. The club held a successful card celling on Tuesday at the residence of Mrs. C. A. Pearson Prize winners wore; Ladies: Mrs. R. Moorol, Mrs M. E. Perreau 2; Mens; Mr. K. Murphy 1, Mr. J. Thomson 2.
