WELLINGTON. Friday. A sale of 45 per cent, stock (1938) at £96 5s reported at the afternoon call was the only transaction registered yesterday. Government stocks and bonds were in good demand, with buyers of the 45 per cents, at £96 2s 6d, the 5 per cents, at £99, and the 5i per cents, at £IOO ss. Wellington Kacing Club debentures were firm at £lO6. Bank shares wore quiet, and there were more sellers than buyers. Bank of New Zealand rights were in demand at 5s lid and Union Bank shares at £ls 3s.
