Miss Bertha Harris, of Christchurch who has been staying in Palmerston North, is returning south today. Mrs. A. Russell, of Palmerston North, is visiting- her daughter in Wellington. Mrs, T.L. Paget, of Wellington, is at present a visitor to Palmerston North. At Croxley Green, Herts, England, on September 29, the wedding took place of Dr. John S. Monro, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Monro, Fitzherbert, Palmerston North, to Dorothy, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late -dr E.P. Bisshop, of ipswich, Sussex. The engagement is announced of Daphne Thelma, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. H.G. Wilton, Hiwinui, to Richard, "Dick”, second son of Mr. and Mrs. R, Godfrey of Btinnythorpe. Mrs. Satherly, snr., of Foxton, who has been for an extended holiday in the North Auckland district, has returned to her home. Mrs. Alex Wilson, of Otaki, has gone to Christchurch. Visitors welcomed at the fortnightly luncheon of the Palmerston North Business Girls’ Club yesterday were Mesdamcs W. J. Day and Englofleld, of Palmerston North. Miss R. Bennett was also inducted as a member of the Club.
