MUNICIPAL BAND SACRED CONCERT
The Baud have to announce that they will again present one of their popular Sunday night concerts m the Palace Theatre, at 8.15 p.m. The programme, advertised on the front page, includes one of Palmorston-s favourite elocutionists in Miss Ada Cowlishaw, who will recite "Home, Sweet Homo.” Mr. Barrett, a 'cello jdaycr, who has delighted theatregoers with his numbers, and Mr. P. G. Hubble, who needs no introduction here. The Band, under Conductor A. J. Berryman, has been practising under a new system two nights every week, so the public should avail Itself of the opportunity of hearing what a groat improvement Mr. Berryman has achieved. A cornet solo by Mr. H. P. Vincent, who, it will bo rememberer?, is one of Now Zealand’s champion cornet players by reason of his performance at the Dunedin Exhibition eontost. will play the old favourite, “The Lost Chord.” As the Band is urgently in need of funds, a good house is desired.
