APITI NOTES
TENNIS OPENIN' The Apiti Tennis Courts were officially opened on Labour Day. A tournament which was to have been played had to be postponed because of the great number of visitors from Kangiwahia, Kimbolton and Piri Piri Tennis Clubs. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea were provided on the grounds and the festivities finished with a dance in the Public Hall in the evening. roquet Club Garden Party. A Garden Party was held at Miss Leslie’s residence on the occasion of the opening of the Apiti Croquet Club on the afternoon of the 27th inst # A largo attendance rolled up. During the afternoon a nail-driving competition was held to help augment the funds of the club. The afternoou being very warm and sunshiny an exceedingly pleasant time was spent. During the course of the games after-noon-tea was dispensed.
