[Per Press Association.] TIMARU. Last Night. The Timaru A. and P. Show to-day was marred by heavy rain. The entries totalled 1543, as compared with 1301 for last year. The quality of stock all through was of a high standard, sheep specially being good, the Corriedales and English Leicesters being the best even seen in the Timaru Show. Rutherford’s The Tatlor; hunter; Miss I, Rutherford’s Rock Ahoy. The Rhodes Hunt challenge cup was -won by the Brackenficld Hunt, Cattle—Shorthorn bull and cow: H. C. Barton. Friesian bull: J. H. Grigg; cow T, Sherri ff. Jersey bull: S. Dale; cow; R. Maddron - The Holme Station cup for cow with greatest quantity of butter-fat above requirements for a certificate of record under the Department of Agriculture was won by G. T. Shcrriff. with a Friesian cow, whose yield was 22,599 lb. milk, and 754 lb. of fat, 424 lb .above requirements.
