The weather was fine in the initial stages, but during the afternoon occasional light rain fell. The going was good. The totalisator put through £11,380, as compared with £12,731 fort ths same day last year. During the progress of the Plying Handicap. Polar came across, and seriously interfered with Automaton and Jeannette. C. Stratton, rider of Polar, appeared before the stewards, and for an infringement of the rules, was suspended from riding for one month. The Bolter galloped six furlongs in ’imin IS 4-ssec. After breakfast there was a slight 'breeze, and the tracks may have been a little faster. No Favours jumped off first after 'passing the seven-furlong post and ran the last six in Imin 20sec. Kilfaire and Gold Box were to have galloped five furlongs together, but Gold Box broke away first and ran the distance in .Imin ssec, Kilfaire taking 4-sscc longer.
