CARE OF THE BONNET
It is a well-recognised fact that the finish on the bonnet dulls before that on the remainder of the car, due mainly to extremes of temperatures which it has to undergo. It is a good plan to wipe the bonnet after getting back to the garage after a run in the rain, because the water dries on the bonnet metal very rapidly, due to the warmth, and the drops arc almost sure to spot, in time gradually dulling the finish. It goes without saying that any part of the car’s finish is better for being wiped off all over after being wet, but this is particularly important as regards the bonnet.
