HARRY WILLS DEFEATED

At Brooklyn, Jack Sharkey, the Boston heavy-weight, won on a foul in the thirteenth round from Harry Wills, the veteran Negro heavyweight for a long time, contender for the world’s title. Wills was badly beaten. The fight was one-sided, and the referee disqualified Wills for hitting with the back of the hand, and holding and punching. Despite the Negro’s advantage in height and weight (214 pounds), and reach, Sharkey ( ISS pounds), out-fought and out-boxed him in nearly every round.
