TORY DISAGREES IST DAUGHERTY CASE. [By Electric Cable—Copyright] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 9.35 p.m.) NEW YORK. Oct. 11. The jury in the Daugherty - Miller trial disagreed after sixty-fivt hours’ deliberation. Judge Mack several times refused to accept a disagreement, owing to cost in time and money involved by the proceedings, but eventually was compelled to discharge the jury without a verdict.
[Daugherty, who was AttorneyGeneral, and Miller, are on trial on charges of corruption, in connection with the sale of the “Teapot Dome” oilfield, a Government property, to a syndicate. ]
