There were exciting scenes In a demonstration of East End unemployed organised by the Communists. The crowd attempted to march to Parliament, but was diverted at Hyde Park, where it sang "The Internationale.” When the demonstrators attempted to march back to the Easjt End, tne police broke them up, siezed their red flag and effected several arrests. At on© time, one hundred police ware struggling with ’there hundred demonstrators at Marble Arch and in the course of ijt, batons were drawn. Mounted police were called in to disperse the crowd. . - . , , ■
