N.Z. ROMNEYS
As an instance of how keen Australian buyers are for New Zealand Romneys, it may be mentioned that during 1925 Mr. A. F. Farr, of Chatsbury, N.S.W., visited the Dominion and Inspected the well-known flock ot Mr. E. E. Short, of Feilding, leaving orders for two stud rams to be selected and forwarded, after they had been exhibited at the Feilding Show, where
one of the sheep ( gained first prize and Reserve Championship in the class for one shear rams. This ram also gained honours at the recent Melbourne Show where he was highly commented on by Australian judges, and Mr. Carr despatched a repeat order for one stud Romney ram and three stud ewes, which was duty executed. This consignment reached its destination safely and included the champion ewe at the recent Manawatu Slicing Show, and Mr. Carr has written expressing complete satisfaction with the selection. The sheep were selected by the Feilding representative of Dalgety & Co., Ltd., through whom the business was effected.
