Following arc the progress results lof the Terrace End Tennis Club’s championships:— First round. —Read beat Anderson; Espiner beat O’Shea; D. Robertson beat Eising; Smith won by default. King beat C. Robertson; Grace beai Von Sturmer. Second Round. —Smith beat O’Shea: Espiner beat Eising; Grace beat Cope; D. Robertson beat King; Read beat Von Sturmer; C. Robertson beat An derson; Grace beat Cope. Draw for Third Round, number o. "lives” being indicated: —Read (2) v. Grace (2); C. Robertson (1) v. Cope (1); D. Robertson (2) v. Smith (2); King (1) v. Espiner (2). These games must be played by Wednesday', the 31st inst.
Owing to unavoidable circumstances the ladies have not been able to complete the first two rounds yet, but it is hoped to play the finals at an early date.
