Heavy Entry of Indifferent Ewes RECOVERY OF BEEF PRICES [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At the Addington market there was another heavy entry of store sheep, which numbered 40,000. A heavy proportion were indifferent class North Island ewes. All classes of fat stock sold briskly. Store sheep.—A very heavy entry, mostly ewes. Fat lambs.—2soo entered and an advance of Is a head in value. Show lambs, to 40s; extra prime, to 325; prime, 29s to 31s; medium weight, 27s 6d to 29s Cd; light and inferior, 25s to 26s Gd; unfinished, 22s 9d to 245.

Fat sheep.—A small entry and very bright sale, values being up for export, ewes and all classes of wethers up to Is to Is 6d a lb. , The export schedule was generally exceeded. The quality of the sheep and lambs, with the exception of a few pens, was very poor indeed. In fact some pens were only medium stores. The bullocks yarded were heavy and mostly good quality.
