A CORRECTION
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In yesterday’s ed •: of your paper, I noticed that you referred to an unsuccessful operation performed by a Feilding doctor on a choking child. It gives th e idea that the child died during Uio operation. The facts are: Th e child was unconscious, blue and not breathing. 1 immediately opened the windpipe bellow the obstruction, breathing reslorled, colour became good, and the child became conscious. Time, 6.30 p.m. I handed the case over to the parents’ doctor. The next thing I heard was that I was called urgently down to (he private hospital at 9.45 p.m., just in time to see the child die.—l am, etc., K. G. SALAIOND,, M. 8., Ch.B.
