Mr. Edmund Goodbehere has returned from a holiday visit to Paraparamau. .ad Mrs. C. AltUen left Feildiing on Saturday for the Dunedin Exhibition. II is stated that it originated through one householder carelessly throwing out a smouldering log from the grate Just before setting out for the beach. The incident should be a warning to others especially at 'his time of the year when the gras 3 is so dry. The death occurred in Feilding on Saturday of Mrs E. H. Pea i son ( formerly Gardiner) relic of the late Mr R. Pearson and a very old settler of the Rongotea- district The late Mrs Pearson was widely known and highly respected and reared a large family who are represented in the Waikato district. The funeral of the deceased lady will leave her late residence, Carthow street, Fail ding, at 2 o’clock today for the Fvldtnr cemetery.
