MAN’S WORLD

DELIGHTFUL THEATRE FROCKS.

Guy Bates Post is world-famous as a theatrical producer, and It was only to be expected, therefore, that “The Masquerader” would be beautifully produced. The freezing was delightful, the dresses worn by Miss Eileen Sparks and MUs Jean Athol, being particularly attractive. Miss Sparks made her first appearance in a beau-tifully-cut cinnamon-brown traveller’s coat, opening over 1 a dainty cream silk frock, patterned In Autumn yellow and inlet at Intervals with bands of finely-tucked yellow georgette. A small hat of cinnamon satin finished with shaded feathers to tone, was also worn. Another beautiful dress which Miss Sparks wore later in the performance was a vleux-rcse marietta dress ornamented with large roses of vieux rose ribbon. An evening gown of silver brocaded lace, and * /a fuchsia colourings were worn is tfa-gown of ivory georgette patterned subsequent scenes by Miss Sparks. Miss Jean Athol’s most beautiful gown was an evening dress of cara-mel-brown tulle, heavily worked In gold, red and emerald sequins, long draperies of gold tissue giving an ar tistlc finish to the corsage. Miss Nellie Mortyne wore several handsome gowns during the night, and little Miss Loye Green appeared in three lovely little dresses of frilled georgette in pastel colorings. As the Cockney maid, Miss Cecil Haines had no opportunities for dainty frocklng.

A daily massage with a nourishing cream is as much the due of the unfortunate neok as of the pampered complexion! It should then be dabbed briskly with a wad of cotton wool soaked in an astringent lotion. Before going out —and this especially applies to the tender nape of tbs neck —there should be a Careful guarding against weather conditions. And this can best bd done by applying a thtb \ayor of vanishing cream covered with a mboh more liberal application of powder- Then for whitening the neck, the finest thing in the world is just ordinary cut lemon. Leave the juice on all night. Easy Exercises. The contours of the throat and neck oafi be wondeffutly by following a simple, easy exercise regliSlfl. If only bpe oduld persuade csr : tain types of women that it Is well worth the little bit of trouble! Just practise, regularly, turning the head from side to side, with the chin held well back. Don't forget that the position of the chin Is more than half tlie battle. . Ask any woman with a beautiful neck if she likes ‘comfy’ pillows! She will tell you that she has no use for them whatever. To sleep on a high nest of pillows Is simply to ask for trouble, as wrinkles and double chins too abundantly testify.
