. connection with the Locarno treaty There is also a growing realisation in the Dominions of the grave obligations involved by the Mesopotamian mandate, which is also to bp discussed at the coming conference. The development of disarmament, similarly, cannot be settled without the collar boration of the Dominions. Indeed, as regards the Pacific, Australia and Canada may claim a deciding voice. The Government is most anxious to consult the Dominions regarding the Singapore base and the method of spending the million grant for marketing Empire produce also calls for discussion. - This last problem occasioned a dispute in the Cabinet, hence the money Is thus far untouched. It has not yet been decided whether there should be a separate Economic Confrence. The Gover—f.ent hopqs to hold ?he conference in June, but is prepared to accept anjt date to the end pf October.
