In connection with the tennis tournament, an open dance is being held at the Anzac Club, Palmerston North, on Saturday night, and for the ■visiting players a motor drive to Tiritea has been planned for Sunday afternoon, leaving th e Grand Hotel at 2 p.m. As Larkin’s orchestra is playing for the dance, a big attendance of the general public, as well as tennis folk is anticipated. The executive of the Club draws attention to the fact tha't the lady members are providing luncheon and teas during the four days of the tournament, and all supporters are requested to assist by sending cakes or donations for the purpose.
