It is the screen version of “Chickie,” Elenore Meherin’s sensational newspaper aerial novel. The entire production has been supervised by John Francis Dillon. director of First National’s wonder the the screen “The Lost World.” The star cast, headed by Dorothy Mackaill In the title role, contains names that are well-known wherever pictures are shown. In this cast are John Bowers, Hobart Bosworth, Myrtle Stedman. Gladys Brockwell, Olive Tell, Pan! Nicholson. T.iora Sonderson and Louise Mackintosh. “Up the Ladder,” the UniversalJewel feature, starring Virginia Valii. now being screened at the Kosy Theatre, is the adaptation of the smashing melodramatic stage success of the same name from the pen of Owen Davis, holder of the Pulitzer prize for one of his plays. This vehicle was chosen for Miss Valii because it offers a splendid opportunity for her to display her histrionic abilities as a rare emotional actress. The cast ’ncludes Forrest Stanley, Holmes Herbert, Margaret Livingston, George Fawcett, Lydia Teamans Titus, Priscilla Moran and Olive Ann Alcorn. The over-ponular Charges Chaplin will also be seen In “The Cure.”

MIX DOES SOME NEW THRILLING STUNTS. “The Lucky Horseshoe,” the Tom Mix feature now at the Opera House theatre, is filled with thrills from beginning to end, for not only do Tom and Tony do some marvelous equestrian stunts, but Tom has some real hair-breadth escapes and does some new and original dare-devil stunts as well. The first and last parts of the picture are laid on a big western cattle ranch, but in the middle of the story Tom falls asleep and dreams he Is the dashing Don Juan. After that he has same hazardous adventures as that appealing character. J Farrell MacDonald provides the comedy relief. Ann Pennington appears as the favourite dancer in the Spanish court. Malcolm Waite is the heavy and Billie Dove plays opposite Tom.

“WINDS OP CHANCE.” Probably the most notable star cast ever assembled for one picture will be seen in "Winds of Chance", the First National special feature, which will open at the Opera House to-morrow. The featured players Include Anna Q. Nilsson, Ben Lyon, Viola Dana, and Victor McLaglen, the English klnema star. lij the supporting cast are Hobart Bosworth, Claude Gillingwater, Dorothy Sebastian, Phile McCullough. John T.
