SWIMMING CARNIVAL
The Feilding Amateur Swimming Club proposes to conduct a carnival at the Municipal baths on the evening of January 20th in order to raise funds for bath improvements. Swimming carnivals, especially the evening jp vents, are decidedly popular in Feilding and an entertaining programme has been prepared for the forthcoming fixture. A centrifugal pump driven by an electric motor has been placed in a well adjacent to the Makino stream for the purpose of supplying water to the baths and so relieve the town supply. It is hoped to have the motor connected up and in working order next week. the present warm weather children are spending many happy hours at th% baths and patronage is well up to average.
