The entries for to-day’s Addington market were smaller than usual and there was an improved demand for ’ most classes of stock. , Store sheep comprised a very small entry, mostly wethers and the de- * mand was brighter than for some weeks. Good 4,6, and S tooth half- ■ bred wethers made 25/- to 26/4 ordinary 4, 6 and 8 tooth half-bred 23/3 to 23/8; two tooth half-bred wethers 8 22/8 to 25/-; sound mouthed ewes, " 27/- to 38/3. Fat lambs. —A heavy entry of 2000 t head, which was keenly snapped up by butchers. Good medium weights made a full lOd per lb. heavy weights * 9d. Extra prime lambs fetched 34/0 to 80/10, prime 32/- to 34/-; medium 1 29/9 to 31/9; light 27/0 to 29/6. Fat sheep.—A much smaller yardj ing than usual and a keener sale . throughout, prices being up to 1/6 , a head bettor than for the preceding * week. Prime wethers realised 31/6 to 34/- extra to 39/7, medium 28/6 Ito 31/-. light 20/0 to 28/3; prime ’ ewes 20/6 to 30/-, medium 23/- to I 25/0; light 20/- to 22/6; rough 17/- . to 19/9. Pat cattle. —Good quality w-as evident in this entry. The demand was brisk up to a point. Prime beef made from 38/6 to 41/6 per lOOlbs. and In a few cases tp 42/6.
