An investigation of the alleged manipulation of the price of crude rubber and other raw materials by the British and colonial Governments has been ordered for Monday by the I House of Representatives. The resolution directing the House Committee to conduct the Inquiry was adopted after Representative Hull of 1 Tennessee, charged the British Gov- • eminent with “openly proclaiming 1 that it intends to collect four billion ■ dollars from us in increased rubber 1 prices to pay its war debt. Europe is laughing up its sleeve at the way we are bding held up for rubber.”
