NOTES OF THE DAY
Mrs John Graham and family are spending the holidays at Plimmerton. Mr and Mrs Rupert Reed are spending the Xmas vacation in Wellington.
Mr. Bart Cahill, son of Sergeant Cahill, of Feilding, again, came brilliantly through this, year at Victoria College. Ho passed in five subjects for the LL.B. degree (Contracts, Property, Torts, General Law and Evidence). At the same examinations, Mr. J. Mason, of Feilding, also did well. Work has now commenced on the site of the Oroua Bowling Club’s green in Denbigh street and the contractor and his staff are turning over the soil. It is very doubtful whether the green will be completed in time to permit of any play this season.
A corner of Kowliai Park is now being fenced off to provide for a croquet green, the work being done by the Council’s staff.
