ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
WORKERS’ INJURIES. Two cases resulting from accidental injury were admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday. Francis Fowler, aged 20, flaxcutter employed at the Whitanui mill, injured his spine as a result of falling down a hole while carrying a bundle of flax. Edmund Grills, aged 27, labourer of Longburn, fractured his left foot following upon the horse, which ha was riding, stumbling and throwing him. J. Brock, of Kairanga was admitted to the Hospital on Thursday evening suffering from lacerated muscle* as a result of being caught in the mechanism of a factory churn. “BE PREPARED” and carry a KOMPAK First Aid Outfit. Specially prepared for car* and lorries; oil and dust proof, 19/S, Hayward and Co., College Wanganui.
