CAR PLUNGES INTO RIVER
ONE OF FOUR DROWNED. [Per Press Association.] HAMILTON Last Night. A fata) motor accident occurred on the Putaruru—Arapuni road this morning when a car driven by Roy Sampson, containing three passengers crashed down a hillside into the Pakaiwhenui river. As a result, a workman at Arapuni, known as “Nugget” Webb lost his life through drowning, The body has not yet been recovered. The driver and the other passengers’ A. E. Bain and William Petit, escaped with their lives.
