When leaving Homo on her outward trip to Now Zealand, the liner Ilemuora passed the new steamer Tarnahine, which has been built to the order of the Union Company for the Wellington-Picton service. The weather at the time was very stormy, and the Tarnahine was sheltering ar the Isle of Wight She has since- left on her maiden voyage to Wellington. The Tarnahine is stated to be a very handsome ship, and should prove very successful in the Picton service. She is a vessel of about 1860 tons and carries two funnels.
