RETURN TO CIVIL GOVERNMENT. GENERAL DE RIVERA AS PREMIER. [By Electric Cable —Copyright 1 (Anat and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 9.15 p.m.) MADRID, December 2. The abolition of the Directory and the substitution of a civil Cabinet with General de Rivera, as Premier, is expected to follow a meeting of political leaders and the Ministry of War, over which General do Rivera presided, with a view to handing over of the reins of power. CONFIRMATION. (Received Friday 2 a.m.) MADRID, December 2. The Directory will resign to-day and will be replaced by a civil Cabinet headed by General de Rivera.
