R.S.A. SOCCER TEAM
PRESENTS PHOTO AND OUPS TO ANZAO CLUB.
Last night, during an interval in tho weekly billiards and snooker tourney, there was a pleasing function at the Anzac Club. Mr C. Taylor, on behalf of tho R.S.A. Soccer team, presented a very handsome framed photo to the Club.
In accepting this, and also custody of the three silver cups won by the team during the winter, Mr AW G. Rutherford said the Palmerston North Returned Soldiers’ Association was delighted with the success achieved by its soccer players. Of greater moment still was tho satisfaction with which the executive and members felt at the manner in which the players had conducted themselves bn the field, and the spirit in which they had “played tho game.”
