NOT BIGHT.
A little girl entered a stationer's shop and asked for a card to go with a wreath. The stationer supplied hei With a black-bordered card suitabl; inscribed. She returned in a short time amannounced that “’this card wouldn’l do.” "Why not, little girl?” asked th shop-keeper. ‘Well, ye see,” was the reply, “i says, ‘Now the labourer’s task is o’er and it’s not for a labourer at all, If for a woman.”
