Irish Republicans and Free Slaters DE VALERA RAISES ENGLISH BOGEY AGAIN [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.L. Cable Association.] LONDON. November 30. Mr Eamon de Valera in addressing his constituents at Ennis, urged Republicans and Free Staters to unite in defence of the common Interests as they did in wartime, against conscription. “England,” he said, “cannot continue ruling and cheating both the Northerners and the Southerners, unless she finds Irishmen play her game I don’t want partition, but if partition is necessary, it must not be worse than under the Treaty. The late Arthur Griffith only accepted the Treaty because Lloyd George, Churchill, and Birkenhead promised that Craig should not coerce those desiring to unite with the Free State. When Grlffth was irrevocably committed these honourable gentlemen tore up their pledges.
