THE QUEEN MOTHER
BOROUGH COUNCIL’S SYMPATHY. On the motion of the Mayor, the Palmerston North Borough Council last evening placed on record its sympathy with the relatives of the late Queen Alexandra. In briefly referring to her death, the Mayor (Mr. F. J. Nathan) remarked that Queen Alexandra had performed her duties zealously as a mother and had set an outstanding example to the whole Of the British nation-,- , The motion was carried by th« Councillars standing in silence.
