PRESUMED TO BE DEAD
LONDON November i 9. Following the Probate Court’s ruling, presuming the'death in 1916 of the actor, Arthur Yates, a son of the late editor of The World, and grandson of the famous comedian, a friend appeared in Court, stating that he had received a communication from Yatea a fortnight ago. Yates is entitled to £3OOO under his, mother's will. Lord Sferrivale remarked that he be-* lieved that was the first time a person legally presumed to be dead was, credibly rep«*B»d alive.
