GENERAL NOTICES. PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. VTOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of The Palmerston North Borough Council held on the 9th. day of November, 1925, the following resolution was duly passed: THAT the Palmerston North Borough Council in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913”, "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” "The Manawatu Gorge Road and Bridge Act, 1919,” and in exercise of ail other powers enabling it'in that behalf doth hereby resolve by Special Order: — 1. —TO raise a'special loan and to borrow the sum of Two thousand and eighty-eight pounds (£2088) for the purpose of paying the Palmerston North Boromgh Council’s proportion of the estimated expenditure of the Manawatu Gorge Board of Control for the financial year ending 81st. March, 1926, and that the same bo paid accordingly. 2'.—THAT the said special loan be known as "The Palmerston North Borough Manawatu Gorge Contribution Loan (1925) of ’£2088” AND that the currency thereof be ten years from the first day of November, 1925 and the rate of interest thereon b® £5/15/- per centum per annum payable half-yearly on the first day of the months of May and November in each year. 3. —THAT the said special loan shall be repayable on the first day of November, 1935. 4. THAT the security for the repayment of the said special loan and the interest and other charges thereon be a special rate of one-fourth of a penny in the pound (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Palmerston North comprising the whole of the Borough of Palmerston North. 5. —THAT one Debenture of £2OBB (with relative -coupons attached) assuring payment of the special loan of £2OBB and interest thereon be issued payable on the first day of November, 1935, of the Banking Hous® of the Union Bank of Australia Limited at Palmerston North 6. —THAT a Sinking Fund of £1 per centum per annum be established in connection with the said special loan. I.
