A GIANT KAURI

UATIJNU DJttUBl UUDUMIBCS, In 1492 Columbus discovered America, and in that year, in that part of New Zealand which Is how known as the North of Auckland, a young kauri tree had just begun to flourish. New Zealand had no place on the map then, but from that time the kauri tree gradually increased to girth, and in the course of its life it saw generations of the brown men of Ao-te-aroa wax and wane.
