FEILDING STOCK SALE
PRICES STILL UNSTEADY. The Felldlng stock sale yesterday was not in favour of vendors, who were by no means satisfied with the prevailing prices. Cattle came forward in ample supply and sheep were 'ather short, but in both cases prices were easy and several pens were passed. The cold weather and the fact that the freezing prices (claimed to he somewhat low) are available, influenced the fat sheep market. Following are the quotations:— Fat sheep: 2ths. 25/-, 26/-, 28/- to 80/-; ewes 22/7, 23/-. 23/8, 23/4, 23/9, 24/-, to 24/6; wethers 23/- to 26/-. Fat cattle: heifers £4/2/6, i. £6/10/-, £7/7/6 to £9/10/-; cows £3/12/6, £3/18/-; £4, £4/2/6, £4/8/6, £5/12/6 to £7/2/6; bullocks £l2/10/to £l4.
Store sheep: 2th. wethers 21/-, 21/7 ’22/8 to 24/7; f. and f. wethers 25/10; 2th .ewes 25/2 f 26/7 to 27/4; wethers 26/8; b.f’s 24/7. Store cattle; 2yr. p.a. bulls I2gns. 13gns. to 15gns.; heifers and calves £5/5/-; heifers r.w. bull £B/5/-, £4 to £5/10/-; heifers in milk £B, £4 to £5/45/-; f. and f. bullocks £7/15/-, £B/3/- to £B/10/-; 3yr. p.a. steers to £7/1/-; p.a. bullocks to £3/13/6; here--I'ord heifers £9/10/-; empty hereford heifers to £3/11/-; cows 17/6 to £2/17/6.
