"The Daily Herald” comments on the Communist trial, stating that It has shown that the 128-years-old Incitement to Mutiny Act can be employed to stifle an opinion, crush any movement, and declare any party seditions, and therefore illegal. "This ancient legal blunderbuss,” says the "Herald,” "which the Government has successfully unearthed, will soon be turned against Labour leaders, if Mr. Baldwin’s masters have their way.”
