Strike leaders conferred with representatives of the overseas steamship owners and agreed that all men who could be absorbed would return to the ships on Monday. They asked that those who could not be absorbed bo given passages back The owners’ representatives agreed to those terms, but will have to cable to London for confirmation.

REFUSE TO ACCEPT WAGES CUT OF 22/8.
(Received Friday, 7.36 p.m.) LONDON, November 26
Owing to the failure of negotiations respecting the shipowners’ decision to cut down wireless operators’ wages by 22/6 a month from December, the operators’ associations decreed a strike to-day. Those arriving at their home ports will be instructed to refuse to sign on again tili the dispute is settled.
