GRANT) LODGE COMMUNICATION [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, November 25. The annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand opened to-day. R. W. Bro R. H. Richard, Deputy-Grand Master, presiding-. The election of officers resulted in the unanimous selection of Sir Chorles Fergusson as Grand Master. M.W. Bro. Oliver Nicholson, of Auckland, pro-Grand Master, and the other principal elective offices were filled as follows:—President of the Board of General Purposes, R.W. Bro. Charles Rhodes; president of the Board of Benevolence, V.W. Bro. T. U. Wells: Grand Treasurer, V.W. Bro. Morris Copeland: Grand Registrar. Y.W. Bro. C. I. McDiamid all of Auckland; Grand Chaplins, Revs. Bros. C. B. W. Seton, of Auckland, and J. Perkins, of the West Coast; Senior Grand Deacons, W; Bro. D. J. Round (Canterbury), and W. Bro. A. J. Geddes (Southland): Junior Grand Deacons, W. Bro. J. Gordon (Wellington) and W. Bro. S. J. Balls (Nelson); Grand Directors of Ceremonies, W Bros. F. W. Herbert, Auckland, E. J. Guineas. Wellington, F. R. Flatman, Canterbury, J. M. Rodger, Otago. The report of the Board of Benevolence showed that £7960 was dispensed for relief'during the year. Financial reports showed the total amount of accumulated funds to be £88,891, of which £64,658 belonged to the Widows and Orphans and Aged Masons Fund, and £6440 special war benevolent fund. The Installation of Grand Master was deferred till Saturday evening. •
