m » o I— :g THOMSON LEVY. A -wedding of interest to many took place on Monday evening at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Levy, King street, when Miss Daphne Levy, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levy, was married to Mr. Hector Macdonald Thomson, of New Plymouth. The ceremony was performed in the garden, the Rev G. T Brown being the officiating clergyman. The bride made a charming figure in her gown of cream silk Milanese over shell pink georgette. Her veil was worn off her face and site carried a sheaf of lilies. She was attended by her sister, Miss Rosie Levy, as bridesmaid, her frock being or pink charmeuso with feather trimming and she wore a pearl banaeau round her hair and carried a bouquet of pale pink geraniums. Mr. Maurice Levy attended the bridegroom as best man. Mrs. Levy wore a frock of black Milanese lace, black and white hat and black fur wrap. The wedding was very quiet, only the relatives of the bride and bridegroom being present. GILL GRAY. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Roman Catholic Church. Shannon, on Thursday last, the contractlng parties being Alma Rose, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. JGray, of Yenn Street, Shannon, to Norman Patrick, second son of Mr. and the late Mrs. P. Gill, of Vance Street, Shannon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father McDermott. The bride was given away by her father and wore a beautiful gown of fawn brocaded crepe de chine with hat. stocking and shoes to match and curried a bouquet of cream roses and maiden-hair fern, the gift of the bridegroom’s grandparents. The bridesmaids were Miss Myrtle Gray, who wore pale green brocaded crepe do chine and a black hat and carried t bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern, and Miss Wilson (Auckand), aunt of the bride, who wore a ■ i-otty frock of pale blue crepe de chine and hat to match. The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Mr. Tom Gill. Mrs. Butler presided at the organ and played the “Wedding March.” The bridegroom’s gift to the iride was a gold brooch and presents of gold brooches were also made to .ho bridesmaids. After the ceremony,, about 30 couples were entertained at the parish hall when the usual lengthy toast list was honoured. Th e bride’s traveling dress was a fawn costume and ■at and wrap to match.
