The Judge congratulated the grand jury, on the comparative absence of crime In the district. There were only two criminal cases for trial and one for sentence. NELSON SESSIONS. NELSON Last Night. The Supreme Court opened to-day before Mr Justice MacGregor, there being six criminal charges. Trut bills were found in five and in the sixth, one of alleged bigamy against Francis William Gallagher, no bill was returned. John Tipori Martin Piki, formerly accountant of the Post Offihe Savings Bank at Nelson was found guilty of the thefts of two sums amounting to £ll/12/- and remanded for sentence.
