TRAGIC END TO FIRE

.MOTHER AND CHILD SUCCUMB.. Following on the death of Mrs Dorothy Williams from burns received at Penrose on Friday, her 25 year old son Geoffrey died on Sunday morning. Mr Williams, a returned soldier, was working at a quarry at Penrose when the accident occurred. Inquests concerning both the mother and son were opened yesterday before the coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt S.M After the formal evidence had been given by Mr Williams, the inquiry was adjourned for the recording of the depositions of the men who rendered assistance to the unfortunate sufferers.
